Fourteen badges from Mini Star to Elite Yellow. Clear skills, fair exams, visible progress — everything your family needs to know about how your child moves up.
Every badge has two parts: the colour shows your child's training phase, and the number shows their level inside that phase. As skills grow, the badge colour rises from Blue to Pink, Green and finally Yellow — a dedicated student usually reaches the Yellow Badge in about 4–5 years.
Our development curriculum — climbing from Discovery 尋星劍 to Elite 奧星劍.
When a student passes, they receive a promotion certificate and a new badge, worn on the sleeve of the non-weapon arm — visible proof of every step climbed.
Promotion depends on skill, not time served. Each student moves up when they are ready — fast finishers are never held back, and steady learners are never rushed.
Badges make progress visible. Each time a fencer learns the techniques for a level and passes the exam, they receive a badge that shows their rise in level — motivating the next step.
The level system builds the skills, discipline and self-control needed to use fencing techniques properly — on the piste and beyond it.
Each level brings more achievement and more responsibility. Step by step, senior students become role models and buddy coaches for younger fencers, earning the recognition that comes with being a skilled fencer.
Before each exam, coaches check four things: skills (practical exam), knowledge (theory test), behaviour (rated by the class coach across the term) and the level's training-hours and competition requirements. Exams are run by HKFM coaches, scored live, and signed. Results are never announced during the exam.
Feedback is given within 7 days — calmly, and always with reasons.
Safety note: a missed safety item or any unsafe act means “Not yet”, whatever the other scores.
School CCA sessions at your child's school: FEN 1 → FEN 2 → FEN 3 (black badges). Fun, safe foundations with school equipment. After FEN 3, students are warmly suggested to step up to Level 1 (Blue Badge) with metal weapons.
